Downhill Skiing/Snowboarding - Sundance Ski Resort, Provo Cyn 1/1, 1/8, 1/15, 1/22/25

Sample Itinerary:

4 pm - Carpool from Will’s Canyon Stop (parking lot and gas station by mouth of Provo Canyon)

4:15 pm - Park at Resort

4:30 pm - Meet at Outlaw Express lift

4:45 pm - 6:00 pm Snowboarding/Skiing Lesson

6:00 pm - 9:00 pm - Ski/Board on own


Cost:  Lift Tickets - Night 430-9pm $59; Afternoon 230-430 Tues, Thurs, Sun $59; Twighlight

230-9pm $99; Day 9am-430 pm $129 (sometimes we can get corporate passes)

       Parking - All parking lots are free to park in after 2:00 pm. During the day - Upper lot - $10/car unless 4 in a car; Lower lot - $25-45/car


Directions: Sundance Ski Resort, Alpine Loop (4WD, AWD or chains if there is any chance of snow - the drive down from Sundance to Provo Cyn can be icy and is narrow and windy)


Activity: Beginner Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding Clinics, then ski/snowboard on your own for the day! Lessons will be at the base of Outlaw Express. Start at the Magic Carpets and then move to Outlaw Express when ready.


Bathrooms - main lodge

Dogs - no


Gear: Downhill skis/boots/poles or snowboard and boots, helmet, (NO COTTON) thermal top and bottom, wool socks or just not cotton socks, snow pants, long sleeve fleece, down or puffy coat, light waterproof jacket, gloves, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, 2 snacks in your coat, packed lunch, water bottles (in car), backpack (if you want to carry stuff on the mountain)


Rentals (on your own): Downhill ski package - includes skis, poles, boots: $20 (UVU Outdoor Adventure Center - includes helmet); $25 (BYU Outdoors Unltd); $20 (Out N Back)

Snowboard: $22 (UVU Outdoor adventure Center includes helmet) $25 (BYU Outdoors unltd - no helmet) Helmet - $6 (BYU Outdoors Unltd)
