Sample Itinerary:

Trailhead (Lost Lake) - 930 am

Kayak - 10-1 pm

Directions - Put in - Lost Lake, Mirror Lake Highway

Cost - $10 daily Mirror Lake Hwy fee; FREE with National Parks Pass

Activity - Kayak & picnic

Kayak Lost Lake - Kayak and explore a beautiful high Uintah lake. Flat water generally, Not too big of a lake. Great for beginners. High alpine lake that’s small enough to paddle around in an afternoon, plenty of shade trees generally, depending on fullness of lake can have more or less “beach” areas, north end parking lot has most beach area, gravel parking lot with enough room to pull around a trailer, SW parking is pull off from road and not good for trailers. NOTE - Lots of fire mitigation work in the area, maybe close to 15-20% of trees are gone, resulting in less shady areas along the shoreline.
